| The Block Kids Building Program challenges students from 1st to 6th grade to use their imagination in constructing a structure or project using interlocking blocks. By introducing children to construction industry careers at an early age, we are hoping to create awareness and develop their interest in future careers in the industry. This award-winning national competition is sponsored by the National Association of Women in Construction (NAWIC) Education Foundation and run by local NAWIC chapters nationwide. Local winners advance to regional competition, and one semi-finalist from each region is entered in the National program competition. National prizes are awarded to the top three projects. |
![]() | ![]() Participants have one hour to construct a structure or project using interlocking blocks and three of the following additional items: a small rock, string, foil, and poster board. They will then present their project to the judges. Each participant will receive a free t-shirt and goodie bag! |
