MARIANA "We learned how to make a birdhouse and how to use all the carpentry machinery. Me personally, I learned how to nail and cut wood. I also really like this trade, so I enjoyed it a lot, especially sanding."
| JAYA "I got to learn the correct way to paint a wall, put up wallpaper, and cut glass. My favorite thing at the finishing trades was cutting the glass. To cut it you need to score it then apply pressure to the glass to snap it."

ANASTASIA "My favorite part of today was building the scaffold. We went to Labors Training Center, and we met all the mentors who trained us, and what we did was we build scaffolds CPR, and first aid." | MONAE "My favorite part about the day was building the scaffold. It was my favorite part because I got to use my teamwork skills and help my group by being the person with the most notes out of the group. Also, I got to experience how to build a very helpful tool I see almost every day outside of buildings." |

LAILA "Learning first aid was very important because the knowledge empowers me to be able to help someone in a dire situation. I can help friends or even a stranger if they need it. It is also nice that I got officially certified in first aid." | MILAN "My favorite part of the week was Thursday when we went to MedTex. We got to do different activities such as using a fire extinguisher, practicing CPR (cardiopulmonary resuscitation), and trying on a harness to practice fall protection. My favorite was using the fire extinguisher because I never knew there were different types of extinguishers." |
